I have loved birds all my life! When I was a child I enjoyed parrots for pets, good old Kicky and Micky. Kicky and Micky is my first pet bird I have owned birds since then. As I've gotten older, my attention turned to finches. I was at a friend's house, and she has two male society finches and courted females with a beautiful song. I thought the most delightful birds that I have ever seen. Since then I am the proud owner of many finches birds.

finches make wonderful pets, because they are not only beautiful, but they are very easy to care for. Most of the work comes from preparing your home for finches. However, after their happy little home set up, the rest is a breeze.

Finch, like all other pets, need a clean environment without the stress that you live in. They also need proper nutrition, exercise and health care. You have everything in place before you bring home a finch. Finches are pretty strong little birds, but are sensitive to stress. Things you might stress out of your finch include being put in cages that are too small, which sits by itself, too much noise or activity in their vicinity, and poor nutrition.

environmental changes from the seller that your home is a bit stressful in itself, so it is essential that the birds of the environment to be as stress free as possible. Once you get your bird home, put them in his new cage, provide them with clean fresh food and water and give them some alone time. If you plan to add a bird aviary, which is already the birds, put them in a cage at first to get them used to their new environment. Since some new birds prematurely can be very stressful for your new finches.

As your birds become accustomed to their new home, you will also want to give toys to them. Depending on the size of their living space, which makes you want to submit one or two toys for the birds to play. If birds are kept in cages, be sure not to crowd the cage with toys. Remember, the finches are very active birds and they need room to move in

Another important part of caring for a finch avian veterinarian who can take the bird. Birds need regular check-ups just like other pets. Regular reviews will ensure that any unforeseen health problems that may arise can be caught early, and you'll have expert guidance on how to care for their birds or any special needs your bird can have.
